India has the largest tourism spot, consisting of 6.23% of national GDP and with the ratio of 8.78% employment rate. 5 million plus foreign tourists and around 562 million domestic tourists visit Indian tourist spots annually. In the year 2008 Indian tourism industry generated around US $100 billion. And this ratio is expected to rise to US $275.5 billion by the year 2018 and at an annual growth rate of 9.4%. The calculations show that around 5.11 million tourists visited India in the following year of 2009.

Andhra Pradesh:

It is a famous tourist spot and is known for its rich cultural heritage as well as multiple tourist attractions. It comprises of natural beauty and covers attractive hills, forests and temples. Another name for Andhra Pradesh is a city of Nizams; it is also called as City of Pearls. It is located in Hyderabad and is of the developed cities with modern hubs of ITES, biotechnology and IT.

Assam:

It is located in the center of Indian North- East Region and it serves as an entrance to the rest seven sister states. It possesses the preserves of wildlife. Assam has the famous great one- horned Indian rhinoceros park known as the Karziranga National Park and it also has The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary and Manas National Park. Assam is also famous for its largest river island called Majuli. It also consists of renowned ancient Ahom Kingdom monuments in the historical Sivasagar and Tezpur is known as the most romantic city. Assam has a sub tropical climate and experiences the monsoon and has thick forests. It is best to visit Assam in winters.

Delhi:

It is the capital of India. It consists of a combination of ancient and modern. It is the city of cultural and religious melting pot. It consists of multiple old empire buildings and residues which consist of the trademark architectural techniques. Delhi has numerous famous historical landmarks, architecture and monuments like Tughalaqabad Fort, the Qutub Minar, the Purana Qila, Jama Masjid, Lodhi Gardens, The Humayun's tomb, the Red Fort and the Safdarjung's Tomb. The Janter Mantar, Gate of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Laxminarayan Temple, Lotus temple and the Akshardham Temple are the modern monuments.

Orissa:

Orissa is famous for its variety of tribal population and thus its multilingual and multicultural personality. Their clothes, handicrafts, different dances, jungle products have succeeded in attracting the foreign tourists. Sitalsasthi festival is the must see celebrations and a reflection of the Odishan art and culture.
